Scrubz Product Review and Giveaway

Are you looking for a great Christmas gift for your "all natural" product loving friends? or your beauty product addicted family members? Whoever you're shopping for, you should check out Scrubz All Natural Skin Care Products.

I was sent a 4 oz. jar of Jasmin Honeysuckle All Natural Sugar Body Scrub. Sugar scrubs are one of my favorite beauty products ever! Scrubz uses natural sucrose along with coconut-supreme, olive, vitamin E, canola, jojoba, aloe vera, grapeseed, and soybean oils, shea butter and also essential oils and fragrances to scent the scrub. It is also available in Unscented Facez for people with fragrance sensitivities.

On the back of the jar of Scrubz it says that you can use the scrub on your legs, wash of the sugar and then use the oils that are left on your skin to shave with. The first time I used the Scrubz I tried this method. The jasmin honeysuckle scent was great, these are two of my favorite scents so it was awesome that they were combined. It feels great to massage your skin with the sugar, it's very invigorating. After I massaged it all over my legs and washed it off there was a lot of oil left on my skin, not in a bad way at all. I started shaving my legs as usual with a five blade Venus razor. After just a few swipes my blades were "clogged" with a little bit of hair and a lot of oil. I washed it off and had to pull the hair off the blades with my fingers. I continued during this untill I was finished shaving and I ended up with a lot of missed spots and a destroyed blade on my razor. Not really a big deal, my legs were still super soft. I massaged my arms and the rest of my body with the sugar scrub and got out of the shower feeling wonderful. I patted my self dry and put on my robe to let all of the oils soak into my skin.

It made such a huge different in the feeling of my skin. I usually use baby oil on my skin when I get out of the shower but the Scrubz mixture of oils lasted much longer and made my skin softer. The next time I used the sugar scrub I shaved my legs as usual first and then massaged the sugar all over my legs and it worked out much better and my legs felt softer than the first time. I think that it was an awesome product and I will continue to use it.

Okay, now lets get to the giveaway. I have two 4oz. jars of Scrubz All Natural Sugar Scrub to giveaway to two very lucky winners. Goliath Games Rolit Jr. Review and Giveaway (BONUS Review by Chase)

Recently I received a game called Rolit Junior from the very nice people at Goliath Games for Mr. Chase Face and myself to review. In exchange for this review I was given the game for free. I have to say that I LOVED this game and so did Chase. I can't tell you how many times we have played the game in the few weeks that we have had it. In our family we play a lot of board games on the weekend and through out the week to spend time together and this game fit perfectly into our collection.

To play the game you chose one of the four different colored animals that are featured on each side of the "balls" and then you take turns placing one piece at a time on the board in your color and trying to "trap" the other persons piece so that you can flip it over and turn it into your color/animal. You play untill all of the "balls" are on the board. Whoever has the most of their color/animal showing on the board wins.

It was not very complicated, although we were playing it completely wrong for the first few days. It didn't get boring so I didn't mind playing it even though we got the junior version. We had a great time playing it over and over again!

Now, for the first time ever, I'm very proud to present to you a BONUS review! That's right peoples, an amazing two-for-one review, featuring the one-and-only Mr. Chase Face, (my 8 year old son)! This is totally unedited or influenced by me, soooooooooooooooooooo, here goes:

Yup you know who it is, Chase. The animals and colors is crocodile green, monkey red, lion yellow and last but not least elephant grey. The boerd is green and looks like a forest it's very cool. We played a long time over and over and over again. I realy wish they had a orange tiger. My cat kept laying on the bored. It was a very cool game. Four people can play. I was scared we couldent play it at first cause i thought that all the instructions were spanish but we finaly found english. My dad thought it looked like a bad game so he never tri'ed but it was an awsome game. My favorite color was green which is the crocodile.I think my cat wants to learn how to play cause my cat kept meow'ing. You guy's should realy buy stuff from there company it's a great company. It realy made you think cause you had to look every where on the bored. I kept messing up and getting the wrong animals. The balls had an animal on all four sides. It takes a little while to play the game. We got the jr.rolit but there was a huge rolit for $199.99. there is three more different games of rollit theres rolit junior whicht is the one me and my mom are reveiwing' there is rolit original then rolit travle and theres a huge rolite too it's like the size of a cofee table and the balls are huge. We got ours for free. Goliath games has a bunch of great games. you can buy them online but we dont know yet if they sale them in stores but im sure my mom will say something if she findes out. i would like to dedicate to all the bloggers. I  recomend this to any big bored game fans and to any one who likes puzzle and skill. • Sucre Review and Giveaway

Sucré is a New Orleans based confectioner known for their delectable, hand-crafted artisan chocolates as well as their scrumptious pastries and macaroons, which are even Oprah-approved. They are located in the heart of the Garden District on Magazine Street and in addition to their home-made and hand-crafted chocolates and pastries, Sucré offers a variety of gelatos as well as gourmet coffees and even champagne for in-store guests. Sucré (French for sugared) is an emporium of "artisan". Unlike a traditional bakery, Sucré serves plated desserts with custom garnishes in addition to boxed treats that are also sold online. In exchange for this review I was sent a delicious Sicilian Pistachio & Rose Petal Chocolate Bar. It's made of milk chocolate and studded with Sicilian pistachios and candied rose petals. I love pistachios and milk chocolate is my favorite so I couldn't wait to try this. I've never had candied rose petals before so I was anxious to try them also. The chocolate bar was amazing! The chocolate combined with the nuts and the sweet rose petals was a perfect combination!

If you've got a chocolate lover on your gift list this year or need a gift for someone who loves sweets you should definetly check out Sucré. Here's a code for $5 off of shipping (or shipping for $4.95) Code: SPCA

A portion of every dollar spent online will go to benefit the LA/SPCA.

One lucky winner will be chosen at random to receive a $25 gift certificate to Sucré. These giveaway will end on November 30 so hurry to get your entries in! To enter, simply visit http://shopsucre.com/ and come back and leave a comment below telling me what you would most like to try from the site. Jewels by Jan Barefoot Sandals Review

Jewels by Jan is a new website I found that makes amazing beaded  Barefoot Sandals. They're beautiful! I was sent one for free in exchange for this review. Click to read the About Me section from the site.

They are available in sizes 5 - 10 in a wide variety of styles and colors including a wedding collection for beach weddings. They are very well made with swarovski crystals, glass beads, sterling silver, mother of pearl and even gold, depending on the style that you choose. They range in price from $45.00 to $90.00.

These can even be worn with sandals to create a new look. I received the Seaside Splender barefoot sandal (pictured to the left) and I was very impressed with the quality of the beads and the bead work.

    From the site:
The splendor of the sea is featured in this design that uses aqua glass beads coated with an aurora borealis finish. The pattern also includes 6mm Swarovski crystals and silver round spacers and is highlighted by a mother of pearl flower medallion.

I wear a size six and it fit me perfectly. The barefoot sandals are very comfortable to wear. The loop that goes around your toe is completely made of tiny little seed beads so it doesn't hurt your toes. It's just like wearing an anklet. The beads lay very comfortable on the top of your foot.

I love my barefoot sandal and I can't wait for the summer time to roll back around so that I can wear it to the beach and around the pool.

You can also find barefoot sandals in cute childrens designs and also bridal hair accessories on the site.

    Mayfair Lane Product Review

If you guys have never seen or heard of Mayfair Lane you are seriously missing out! All of their products are beautiful and so handy and usefull. I received an amazing package in exchange for writting this review. I received this list pad to the left which hangs beautifully on my shiny, flat refrigerator that nothing else will stick to. The products are so great because they don't use magnets like most products of this type. They have a soft, squishy backing that sticks to metal like a magnet would, BUT it also sticks to glass, stainless steel and even walls without destroying anything or leaving any kind of residue when you remove it.

    from their About Me page:
Launched in the spring of 2008, Mayfair Lane has the gift market buzzing with its innovative products and fresh designs. Its patent-pending Happeez® product line is made up of simple, classic gifts that take gift-giving to a whole new level by virtue of their being both uniquely stylish as well as extremely practical.

Sue Russell, Mayfair Lane’s Founder and CEO, combined her finely tuned marketing skills with her constant search for the perfect gift. After working with 3M Post-it® products and elegant stationery lines from Boatman Geller, she made an important discovery. All notepads and decorative items for the refrigerator, even the most beautiful ones, were backed with magnetic strips. These strips worked for many households but not for those with a stainless steel, glass or wood paneled refrigerators, to which magnets do not stick. And so, Happeez® were born.
Happeez® Notepads, Clippers, Photo Frames, Whiteboards, and List Pads contain a Happeez® material that grips to stainless steel and other slick surfaces such as glass, mirror, aluminum, plastic or vinyl. Unlike a magnet, Happeez® products protect surfaces from scratching and marring, and will not leave a residue. If the product loses its grip due to dust build-up, users can easily revive it by spraying the back with water or a vinegar-based window cleaner.

I also got one of these convenient little clips, located to your right. They come in a lot of different colors and styles and you can buy them in packs of one or three. I love this clip because it has the same material on the back so I can put it on my refrigerator with a note or papers that I have to remember. Another awesome bonus? It has one magnet on the top side of the clip and another magnet on the bottom side of the clip so you don't have to worry about your papers getting lost or falling out of the clip.

This journal to your left is another item that the nice Mayfair Lane people sent me to check out. It conveniently sized so I can carry it in my bag. It is 6" x 8" and I use it to jot things down on all the time. The paper is unlined which is fun for me because I love to draw and I have ideas all the time that I'll totally forget if I don't right it down or make a little sketch to remind my self.

Now, my favorite of all of the products that Mayfair Lane sent me has to be this lovely stripy bag. As soon as I took it out of the box I knew it would be my new bag to keep up with all of my junk throughout the day. It has a little pocket inside, a snap closure,
It's reusable and recyclable and measures 8.5" wide x 8.5" high x 4.5" deep. It's not fabric so you can just wipe it clean.

Go to the site, http://www.mayfairlane.com/index.html, and check out all of the products they have. The prices are great so you'll love it and find tons of great stuff for yourself and your home.

Your Astrology Guide 2010, Tips for the Year

I check my horoscope everyday, I have always done this since I was a teenager and it seems to always be right! I'm such a believer. I'm a capricorn, with out a doubt, I'm stubborn, hard headed and ALWAYS reaching for the top. I found this excerpt from the book, Your Astrology Guide 2010 very interesting so I thought that I'd share it. Just look down the list for your sign  and see what's in store for you in 2010.

Your Astrology Guide 2010: Rick and Jeff's Tips for the Year

by Rick Levine & Jeff Jawer, Authors of Your Astrology Guide 2010

    ARIES
    March 21-April 19

    Conscious Self-Restraint
It's imperative that you cut back your activities, for effective pruning allows new growth to flourish. But you may bump into deeply rooted resistances as you attempt to play a larger role on the stage of life. The contradiction now is that you are at your most brilliant and nothing can hold you back, yet paradoxically the walls of reality continue to close in. You cannot get away with shooting from the hip, even if you're confident of your aim. The full enterprising power of Aries is yours when you accept the limits of society that require more precision this year. Whether you like it or not, you must slow down to get what you want.

    TAURUS
    April 20-May 20

    Look Outside the Box
Your potential to transform your life is incredible this year -- but your resistance to change is equally great. You don't have to tear apart what's working well or take crazy risks that are likely to fail. All you need to do is stretch your boundaries and allow alternative perspectives to hang around for a while to see if one might eventually fit. It's as if a strange visitor has arrived at your door -- so strange you'd prefer him to leave as soon as he arrives. But thanks to your kind heart, you let him stay the night . . . and end up discovering a close friend. Similarly, you will find happiness this year as long as you remain open to surprises.

    GEMINI
    May 21-June 20

    Fear Not the Darkness
You can no longer be the champion of avoidance, Gemini, and that means you're playing in a whole new ball game. If others accuse you of being shallow, it's just because they don't understand how fast your mind works and how it jumps from one thought to the next. Now, However, something has changed, and it may at first seem scary. Instead of planning your escape routes, you are content, even eager, to search for hidden metaphysical wealth that was previously obscured from the light of consciousness. Overcoming your own resistance to fully feeling your emotions enables you to uncover buried treasure that can enrich your life for many years to come.

    CANCER
    June 21-July 22

    Aim for the Top
It's better to be ambitious this year and struggle in the pursuit of your goals than to passively respond to whatever life brings you. Even if you run into obstacles, meet them on a course of your own choosing. Taking charge and pushing forward -- sometimes awkwardly and sometimes with grace and confidence -- are the next steps to assuming a leadership role. Your power and passion grow when you have strong allies and adversaries. Seek out those with talents you admire so that you can learn from the best. Step outside your comfort zone; you'll discover that it's not foolish to take risks. There are enormous rewards when you invest in your own excellence.

    LEO
    July 23-August 22

    Ask for Help
You expect great things from yourself, Leo, and you can work quite hard once you make a sincere commitment. This is why you must now think carefully about any promises you make -- to yourself or anyone else. There are powerful forces at play that can lure you into believing that anything is possible. It's true that this year brings great potential, but exhausting yourself trying to achieve the impossible dream is not a sensible strategy. Heed the counsel of wise friends and seasoned professionals before making any life-changing decisions.

    VIRGO
    August 23-September 22

    Fearless Warrior
Challenges to the core truths you cling to can be a source of irritation and a cause of physical, mental, and emotional fatigue. The battles you face, though, are not with outside forces but within yourself. It's time to reexamine the ideas that have kept your life in order for years, but may be holding you back. What worked in the past won't necessarily be effective now. The desire to return to familiar places in your mind is understandable, but it's not likely to be productive. Certainly, you need times to retreat and take refuge in comfortable concepts. Catch your breath when you can, yet remember: You'll grow much stronger by moving ahead than by turning back.

    LIBRA
    September 23-October 22

    Rise to the Challenge
Although relationships can offer you a newfound sense of freedom this year, they can also distract you from the discipline you need to organize your life. The decisions you must make this year are not easy ones. You may have to be ruthless when evaluating what and who should be cut out of your life, but pruning is absolutely required to ensure maximum growth. Your overall success during the coming years will be based on your ability to pay careful attention to your long-term goals rather than short-term successes.

    SCORPIO
    October 23-November 21

    Innocent Expression
Looking foolish is not your idea of a good time, but giving yourself permission to express yourself freely can be extremely rewarding now. Surrendering some self-control to reveal your emotion can feel risky, of course, but it's a great way to open your heart and enhance your creativity. Making mistakes is not the road to failure but the laboratory of invention. You can surprise yourself by discovering new talents when you put away the heavy hammer of self-criticism. Being honest while also being kind is a gift to yourself and those around you. If your explorations veer off course and threaten your stability, seek wise counsel. There are angels around you who look like ordinary people, yet will gently guide you back on track.

    SAGITTARIUS
    November 22-December 21

    Be Here Now
There is so much work ahead as you strive to make the most of your future. Running out on previous commitments won't bring you happiness; delivering on your promises will. Try not to seek adventure in the same old dreams of world travel. This year, you can take an incredible journey of the mind without leaving home. Open yourself to new philosophies, learn about new technologies, and re-create your future by being more conscious in the present moment.

    CAPRICORN
    December 22-January 19

    Field of Dreams
Your journey this year could be one of extremes as the most visionary planets -- Jupiter and Uranus -- light up your life with exciting new perceptions while the most conservative ones -- Saturn and Pluto -- keep stepping in to turn down the volume of your enthusiasm. You can avoid bouncing from high hopes to deep disappointment by giving yourself time to assimilate and consider your dreams. Slowly roll them over in your mind, do some research, and talk to those you trust to help you find ways to shape them into reality. Then commit to work with patience and persistence. Remember, conceiving a brilliant idea happens in an instant, but giving birth to success takes a lot longer.

    The Joy of Sharing
The emotional heights will be higher this year and the descents lower, yet you must fully experience these peaks and valleys if you hope to find a middle ground between the opposing forces pushing and pulling on you. Although you cannot avoid the changes that continue to unfold, you're also blessed with an open mind that eagerly looks beyond the current difficulties. Don't waste too much energy resisting the inevitable. Instead, focus on the exhilaration you'll feel once you've overcome the obstacles and your life is heading in a new direction.

    PISCES
    February 19-March 20

    Go the Distance
The highs and lows you experience this year accentuate the contrast between your greatest hopes and darkest fears. Expansive Jupiter in your sign makes your life seem so big that even the smallest act can appear to take on enormous importance. You may be exhilarated by this wild ride at times, but in the end it can be exhausting and confusing to rise so quickly and fall so fast only to rise again. Moderating your reactions with a bit of philosophical detachment reminds you that the current drama is just one moment in a life rich with experiences that you've encountered before and will likely meet again.

    What Scent Defines you Contest

Downy and TwitterMoms want to know, "If you could define yourself with a scent, what scent would represent you and why?"

My scent would definetly be Amber & Jasmin. The jasmin is sweet, feminine and flirty while the amber is bold and sexy without being "girly". When you mix the two scents together you get an amazing scent that is perfect for a woman thats sexy, fun and intriguing without having to wear stilettos and a skin tight dress to get your attention.
