The pitcher is great because you slide a flavor cartridge into the top and then you push a button on the top of the handle which sprays the flavor into the top so that it pours out with the water when you pour the water into your glass. This way you flavor each glass individually and you can have unflavored filtered water out of the same pitcher. The flavor is awesome though! I've been using the raspberry flavor that comes in the package with the pitcher.
I like about four squirts of the flavor in an 8 oz. cup of water. I think it's just a sweet little hint of flavor. Chase, my eight year old son, likes to add around ten squirts and says he's drinking raspberry juice. Since showing Chase that he could press the button on the pitcher to add flavor he hasn't complained at all about drinking water all the time. There's usually a bit of complaining and some times whining when I give him water with diner or breakfast but the raspberry water gets no complaints and has easily taken the place of orange juice and tea.
The pitcher is perfectly sized to fit in our refrigerator without a problem. It's a slim pitcher that holds 48 oz. of water and can fit inside of the refrigerator door. It uses the PUR two stage filter which provides up to forty gallons of clean, filtered water. It removes lead, giardia and 99.9% of cryptosporidium while leaving behind the fluride. One filter comes in the box along with the pitcher and one flavor cartridge.
You can purchase different flavored cartridges for the pitcher. They come in packs of two and are available in raspberry, grape, lemon, strawberry and peach. There are no calories, sugar or dyes in any of the flavor cartridges and there is enough in each one for up to 75 servings. Click here to take the "What's Your Flavor Quiz" and see which flavor is right for you.
